“When it comes to kiln shelves, there is a lot that can go wrong. ADVANCER® does a good job at avoiding pretty much all of those things. Advancer shelves do not warp, and they do not sag, across hundreds of firings. Top loading kilns are not ergonomic, but ADVANCER® shelves are so light — it’s a lot less strain on your back when you have to lean way over and put in the shelves. They are also thinner than other shelves, freeing up kiln space. The porosity is less than 1%, so if you get glaze on the shelves, it literally peels off and you can scrape it away with the GlazeEraser. Glaze runs are not a problem with these shelves. It’s kind of magic.”
